After a week of being very dull travellers - semi recovering from Glastonbury and getting boring van stuff organised - we finally did something quintessentially English. We spent an evening at the Henley Royal Regatta.
The lovely Kelsey and her Black Eights rowing crew competed in (and won!) the Remenham Cup Challenge, giving us a great excuse to go and see the madness that is the Regatta. Very similar to going to the Boxing Day Races, but with less hats and many more bizarre blazers. Also less horses, I suppose...
We tripped down with Sonia, Kapish, Tony and Vic, meeting Kelsey for a drink, dinner, race- and people-watching. Kelsey was definitely the only one dressed for the occasion - we had way underestimated the dress code! - but it was fun soaking up the atmosphere and catching up with everyone.
So great to top it off by live-streaming the race the next day to watch the girls win against Great Britain. Go girls!!
